don’t worry…..me too I’m a good student I have a 3.5 gpa…and I’m a computer science major….and unfortunately…I’m getting an F in a math class…(I’m usually good at math)..I don’t know this semester for me was crazy..I got a litlle lazy….and besides that, that math class was difficult and the prof. was a dick explaining the stuff……
Don’t worry just put more effort, for next semester and you’ll see the results…..and tell your parents the truth, it doesn’t matter if they critized you ……….hopefully you’ll show them next semester that you will get better…….
remember you can’t always get AAAA or BBBBB……..there’s a point in life in which you get tired of everything and you can’t stand it anymore…..I guess that’s what happened to me…………….but I can’t let that happen every semester
good luck
I am not sure what your question is, but I think that your parents will be understanding. Disappointed but understanding. First sem should be about finding your feet, but from now on you have to knuckle down and get the study done to get the results you want for next sem. You are still good at study, now you just have to work harder at it. Good luck with it all!
A lot of first year college students don’t do too well their first semester, for one reason or another. Some it’s because it’s harder than they thought it would be, some of it’s because they’ve been having some fun. Some of it’s a combination of both.
Whatever the reason is your first semester didn’t go the way you wanted it to, please understand it will get better !! If you truly believe that, you can tell your parents that and convince them that next semester will be better !! Your friends should be understanding too, if they are true friends !
You can’t change your first semester, but you can do your best on you second semester.
You’re going to do fine, I’m sure, you just need to have the self-confidence !!
Don’t worry yourself too much. Your first semester at university is always tough; there is lots for you to learn, not only in your classes but about how to succeed as well. I’m assuming that you didn’t slack off during the semester (if you did, the answer is easy–just try harder!). If you tried your hardest and it just wasn’t good enough, you just need some guidance on how to succeed.
First of all, I can’t tell if it’s just because of typos, but it seems like English isn’t your first language? If so, then I commend you on attending university in a non-native language. That in itself is quite an accomplishment! Check to see what sort of services your school offers for non-native speakers.
Also look into a class in “college success skills” or something similar–most schools offer them. Free tutoring should also be available somewhere on campus. Whatever you do, don’t give up! Remember that most students go though a tough adjustment period at first.
