how do american universities set the fee per semester of a particular course?

I have been considering various universities for an MS degree in the US……… I saw the fee’s to be varying greatly with every university.. for one it is 5000$/sem and other it’s as high as 15000$…….. Is it true that higher charging ones are usually good….???..

You can get a quality education from a school with lower tuition as well as one with a higher tuition. The amount you pay really as nothing to do with the quality of education. For instance, public universities generally have lower tuitions than private institutions, although the quality of instruction can be as good as or greater at the state school. One reason is the state school is partially subsidized by the state. The quality depends entirely on the instructors teaching the courses and not how much you are paying.
