How cable(s) do I need to hook up my HDTV to a laptop?
Its a Samsung Series 550 46″ LCD
HP Pavilion dv6000
There doesn’t sem to be a HDMI port on the laptop which is weird b/c its brand new.

s-video cable.. but it wont be HD. you should have an S-video out port looks like this…
HP Pavilion dv6000 has VGA out, if ur HDTV has that also you can use a vga cord, but you’ll have to work an the sound part.

Info on the Samsung site indicates your LCD has a PC input connector. This is what you should use if you want to use the HDTV as a PC monitor. You will use the external display connector on your dv6000 and connect it with a VGA cable to the 550. The proper cable is a male-female DE15 VGA cable.
